MAYWOOD, Ill. (STMW) — A 49-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in west suburban Maywood.
Milton Carswell suffered a single gunshot wound to the head at 6:08 p.m. in a parking lot at 34 S. 18th St., according to the Maywood Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:10 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
According to police, a person exited a vehicle, shot Carswell in the head, reentered the vehicle and sped away from the scene.
No one is in custody as Maywood police investigate.
