DES PLAINES, Ill. (STMW) — Police are searching for a suspect armed with a handgun who robbed a payday loan store Tuesday in northwest suburban Des Plaines.
The suspect walked into Check Into Cash, at 781 W. Golf Rd., about 11:55 a.m., showed a handgun and demanded money from the clerks, according to a statement from Des Plaines police.
The offender fled the bank with an unknown amount of money, police said. No one was injured during the robbery.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available Tuesday night.
No one is in custody as Des Plaines police investigate.
