CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of special ed teacher Betty Howard.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office confirms the suspect, a man in his 20′s, is being questioned by police and charges are pending.
58-year-old Betty Howard was shot and killed on May 29 while she was at her second job at her realty office. Howard was killed when bullet from a drive-by shooter came through a wall, hitting her as she sat at her desk. She was also a special education teacher at Gwendolyn Brooks.
