CHICAGO (CBS) — A fast-moving burst of snow may make for a messy afternoon commute.
The Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) is deploying over 200 snow plows to plow and salt main streets and Lake Shore Drive throughout the evening rush hour.
Snow will start falling in Northwest Indiana by early evening.
The storm could leave up to two inches of snow between the Wisconsin border to the north and Aurora to the south. The heavier snow will fall closer to the Wisconsin border.
The storm is expected to last about 2 to 3 hours, but heavy bursts of snow could slow travel times on the roads during the evening rush hour.
