Booze Delivered To Your Door? There’s An App For That

(CBS) – It seems there’s an app for everything – now, that includes getting alcohol delivered to your door.

“Download the app, set your location and add  your favorite beer, wine or liquor, pick ‘check out,’ and a local liquor store will deliver it to you in 20 to 40 minutes,” Nick Rellas, CEO and co-founder of Drizly, tells WBBM Newsradio.

He says the great barrier to creating the app, which was started in Boston and has just been launched in Chicago, was making sure it would not be used by minors. Rellas says the app allows stores to authenticate IDs.

Seven liquor stores in Chicago have signed up to participate so far.
