CHICAGO (STMW) – A male was shot to death Sunday morning in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood, police said.
The shooting happened about 11:35 a.m. in a garage in the 9200 block of South Emerald Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said, citing preliminary information.
The male — whose age was not immediately known — was shot in the back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died, Sedevic said.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
