(CBS) – An anti-violence activist was remembered Friday evening, a week after she was shot outside her West Pullman home.

Leonore Draper volunteered for a non-profit and had just attended a fundraiser for Project Orange Tree when she was caught in gun crossfire.

One week to the hour, family, friends and a bereft husband showed up to remember her.

Draper was a church volunteer here, a Girl Scout leader and an advocate for multiple sclerosis patients like her husband.

“I don’t know what’s going to become the City of the Big Shoulders,” the victim’s 88-year-old aunt, Alberta Draper, said. “It’s not working.”

There are still no suspects in the killing. Her family vows to take on her pet projects, which were many.
