CHICAGO (CBS) – A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly causing a severe brain injury to a baby girl at his home in the Marquette Park neighborhood.
Richard Martin, of the 7200 block of South Cambpell Avenue, has been charged with aggravated battery, police said.
He allegedly injured a 14-month-old girl around 9 p.m. Monday. The girl has been hospitalized at Mount Sinai Hospital for a brain injury.
Police have not said how Martin caused the girl’s injury.
He was due in bond court Friday afternoon.
