NORTHFIELD, Ill. (CBS) — More trouble has found the Rapper Chief Keef. WBBM’s Bob Roberts reports someone has been shot and seriously wounded in his presence, in suburban Northfield.
The 18-year-old rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, has been staying in a home rented by his manager in the 1800 block of North Happ Road as he deals with a series of legal problems, most recently an arrest for driving under the influence of pot. He only recently completed drug rehab.
Before the shooting, the rapper posted on Instagram photo showing him with a gun in his hand and an associate with an AK-47 with the message, “another situation already.”
According to police, the shooting victims is in stable condition at North Shore Skokie Hospital.
