(CBS) – Emergency officials are responding to a house explosion in southwest suburban New Lenox. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
A battalion chief tells CBS there was an explosion around 2 p.m. and crews are on the scene, in the 700 block of Lambreth.
The fire was nearly out by 4 p.m., and the explosion’s cause was unknown.
There was no threat to other homes.
