AURORA, Ill. (STMW) – New charges filed against two Joliet brothers accused of murdering a 20-year-old Aurora man in January put into context what allegedly went down inside the bathroom of a west suburban Aurora restaurant where the young man was shot and killed.

Jaquan Hosey-Green, 20, and Dimitri Hosey-Green, 18, were indicted on armed robbery charges in addition to first-degree murder charges last week, for allegedly stealing a “plant-like material” from Arin Williams before he was shot, court records show.

The incident occurred on Jan. 13 inside the restroom of La Torta Carniceria y Taqueria in the 800 block of North Lake Street in Aurora.

Police said Williams and the two suspects entered the bathroom around 7:35 p.m. that evening, and began to fight.

Williams was shot once in the head by the younger Hosey-Green brother, prosecutors said. The brothers fled the scene and were taken into custody in Cicero.

While police had previously indicated the homicide was drug-related, the armed-robbery indictment adds weight to that theory.

The brothers are both scheduled to be arraigned on April 4. They have each been indicted on three counts of first-degree murder, and armed robbery, court records show.

Kane County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Patrick Gengler said that the brothers are being held at the Kendall County Jail because a family member of murder victim Arin Williams works as a correctional officer at the Kane County Jail where the men were being housed.
