CHICAGO (STMW) – A teenage boy was shot early Monday in the Gage Park neighborhood on the South Side.
The 16-year-old told police he was shot in the leg about 1:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of South Oakley Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
He showed up at Saint Anthony Hospital seeking treatment, Greer said.
Police said the gunshot wound was possibly self-inflicted.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
