(CBS) – A man who was a fixture at the Mount Prospect public library, has died at the age of 105.
Harold Weary first began volunteering at the library nearly 50 years ago. At the age of 90, he helped found the foundation and executive director Marilyn Genther says he was the library’s best and most tireless advocate. She says he will be missed.
Harold Weary was also an avid genealogist and volunteer of the suburb’s historical society. In 2011 he was honored by the library for putting in 10,000 volunteer hours. He died last Friday at the age of 105.
