SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (STMW) – A northwest suburban man has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl who he previously counseled.
Kelvin A. Perry, 51, has been charged with one count of criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, both felonies, according to a release from Schaumburg police.
The 16-year-old girl, a ward of the state, told her foster mother and police on Feb. 9 that she went to Woodfield Mall to meet Perry, and engaged in a sex act with him in his vehicle, police said.
Perry previously counseled the girl through a social services agency in Lake County, police said.
Perry, of the 4100 block of Brentwood Lane in Waukegan, is expected to appear in bond court Wednesday.
