(CBS) – Indiana State Police have been dealing with so many accidents this winter, they’re trying a new tactic to try to get people to slow down on ice and snow.
The mantra of Indiana State Police Sergeant Ann Wojas has been the same all winter: Slow down on ice and snow.
“Every time you think you got through to them, we have another snow event and they’re crashing left and right again.
“It’s the same thing over and over: To adjust your speed, rethink your trip. Watch out on bridges – and especially ramps.”
But once again on Saturday, Wojas says troopers out of the Lowell District were busy responding to accidents on I-80/94 and I-65.
So she’s sent accident photos out to news media and social media – hoping to scare people straight before the next big snow this week.
“I don’t know what else to do.”
